Turkeyville

Thursday, April 26, 2018: We will be driving to Turkeyville, USA where we will have a delicious turkey dinner followed by a play “The Old Rugged Cross”.

Pastor Jim is taking care of a small church at the park and as people visit the park they are enlightened. A lonely farmer finds the perfect mate, a returning Vet finds a new hope, and an interesting family stumble across the park looking for a concert. Everyone loves the park, it brings peace and gets you a little closer to the Holy Spirit with songs including Amazing Grace, Church in the Wild Woods and Old Time Religion.

On our way home, we will visit “The Parlor” for some delicious ice cream. Cost is $40 plus ice cream costs. We will depart at 9:00am and return about 7:00pm. Sign up with payment is required by April 1st at the Welcome Center.

Meadow Brook Theater

Wednesday, June 6, 2018: We will be attending Meadowbrook Theatre to see the romantic musical comedy “Burt & Me”.

Joe and Lacy were high school sweethearts who drifted apart when they attended different colleges after graduation. Years later, their paths cross again and Joe devises a clever plan to win Lacey back…with the help of one Burt Bacharach. Songs include Wishin’ & Hopin’, I say a little prayer, Do you know the Way to San Jose? and many more.

We will depart from the church at 11:00am and have lunch at the Grand Azteca before proceeding to the theatre. Cost is $30 plus lunch costs. Sign up at the Welcome Center will be ready by the end of May.
